Who is the bride supposed to travel with in the car?

On the way to the wedding, the bride usually travels with her father or someone close, that is walking down her down the aisle. On the way to the reception, she travels with her new partner.

How many cars should we hire for the wedding party?

This depends on the size of your bridal party. The groom and groomsmen usually arrive at the ceremony early so they can hire a car also, or if the venue isn’t far, the one hire car could take the groomsmen first then go and pick up the bridesmaids. Whatever you decide on, make sure that there are enough vehicles to transport all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen to your photo location & the reception. Many of our Classic & Vintage cars can seat from 6 to 10 people, making it a more cost effective option than hiring multiple cars.

Should we hire vehicles to transport family members to the wedding?

The father of the bride will probably be in the car with the bride, but it’s up to you whether or not you want to hire additional cars to transport other family members. Our Wedding Cars can also supply Luxury Sedans, minivans and/or coaches so you can ensure that family members and out-of-town guests are looked after and will get home safely after the reception.

When should we book the vehicles?

This depends on type of vehicle that you are wanting, and the date of your wedding. Our Classic & Vintage cars are often booked out between one and two years in advance, so it is important to start looking for a wedding vehicle as soon as you have set a date. The modern Stretch Limousines & Luxury Sedans are more readily available. The peak times for weddings is March to June &  September to November, but the earlier you book, the more choices you have and it is just one thing less you have to worry about during the planning months ahead. Our Wedding Cars can offer you a payment plan to help with your budgeting.

Should the car remain at the venue during the ceremony?

If you want to guarantee that you will have a way to the photo location and reception, it is a good idea to make sure that the driver waits at, or near, the ceremony venue. Some hire companies book multiple weddings on the same day and don’t allow for emergency situations. The last thing you want is to find that your driver has disappeared to pick up another couple, only to have broken down along the way, leaving you stranded at the ceremony venue. Our Wedding Cars only ever book one wedding per car & driver on the day.

What if there are mechanical problems with the wedding car on the day ?

Our Wedding Cars takes every precaution to ensure your wedding day is stress free.
All vehicles are checked regularly and vehicles are maintained to the best and highest standards.

However, just like modern cars, the unexpected can happen.
Given sufficient warning, we will to provide a similar vehicle or arrange a full refund of any moneys paid.

If the unfortunate happens, we will always get you to your wedding, no matter what.

We’re having a summer wedding but want to hire a vintage car. Will it have air-conditioning?

All of  Our Wedding Cars Vintage & Classic Cars are fitted with aftermarket air conditioning, but we always advise that it may not be as effective on hot days as in modern vehicles.

What can we expect from our Chauffeur?

Your chauffeur will be attentive in every possible way.
This includes assisting your entries and exits from the wedding car; arranging your wedding dress, serving champagne and light refreshments and generally assisting in any other way, to ensure your experience is memorable for all the right reasons.

What services are included in Our Wedding Cars packages?

All our vehicles come with White Umbrellas, Red carpet, Clear wheel cover to prevent dirt getting on the dresses, Tulle in the back window, Ribbon on the bonnet, sewing kits, water, mints, complementary champagne for photo locations. We can also supply “Just Married” signage for the back of the car.
Of course if you don’t want any of these extras just let us know when you place your booking. A getaway vehicle from your reception to your hotel, is also offered with some of our packages

Can I be sure that the cars I book with your company are the ones I am going to get on the wedding day?

When booking wedding cars it is a very important for you to visit the business and NOT only inspect the vehicles but touch and sit in the cars. Photos online can often make bad cars look really good, so always ask to view the vehicles. Our Wedding Cars offer viewings by appointment and you will usually get meet the Chauffeur you will have on the day. A reputable company with a lot of good reviews speaks for itself and you won’t have a worry.

Are you a licensed wedding car operator?

Yes, Our Wedding Cars is an accredited wedding car operator.
We are industry accredited with QLD Transport and have full comprehensive & public liability insurance.

Do you base your costing on time or distance ?

The cost of your wedding cars is based on time. The time starts from your home, not from our base and any relocation charges are inclusive in the quote you receive.
It doesn’t matter how many trips we may do, say from the ceremony to the reception, the cost is based on the time you book the vehicles for.

How long should I book my wedding cars for ?

Our friendly Wedding transport consultants will help you with this and offer advice on times. We use Google maps as an indication, but there are many things that need to be taken into consideration ie: time of day & traffic, loading & unloading of passengers, ensuring you are comfortable, put out the red carpet and travel in a sedate manner to the location. Our older cars are meant to be seen when driven, it is a leisurely drive, so sit back & enjoy the ride and feel like a Princess on your special day.


Always check with your photographer as to how long he/ she expects to take with photos

Should you have your wedding and reception in the same location , it is often a nice idea to have your wedding vehicle wait till after the ceremony is over to include it as a prop in your photos.

As there is a minimum hire time of 2 hours so there may be no additional cost for this.

What happens if we go overtime, what are the charges and how is it paid?

You will have paid all of the hire fees upfront, and you would have been advised about extra time charges in the initial quote. We always confirm with you the week of your wedding, the information & timings again and at this stage you will have a good idea if you have allowed enough time. You will have met with your photographer & reception venue & have a time line in place. We allow you 15 minutes before extra charges apply and your Chauffeur will discuss this with you if needed. It is a condition of the booking that we have your Credit Card details on file in case any overtime is incurred. We won’t charge your card until we email you with the additional cost. In saying this though, this is a rare occurrence and rarely happens.

Do Our Wedding Cars travel anywhere in Brisbane ?

Yes, Our Wedding Cars travel to all suburbs in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Byron Bay & Northern NSW.

Do you offer transport for our wedding guests ?

Our Wedding Cars in association with our sister company Tic Tac Tours & Charters,  specializes in event transport and offers a selection of Mini Vans & coaches to transport your wedding guests.

This is increasingly popular as guests now can travel easily from out of town and from overseas.

The coaches transport guests from their hotel to the wedding , from the wedding to the reception and also after the reception back to the hotel.
A selection of coaches from 10- 63 seaters are available.

That is correct; the pricing policy is worked on the distance of the wedding location. The number of wedding cars required and the travel time involved. Every wedding is unique and we recognize that your vehicle requirements are individual and encourage you to contact our wedding coordinator us to discuss your needs. Then we can supply you with an accurate quotation. There is no obligation for you to proceed with the booking. Once I make the booking with your company, will the prices change before my wedding day?

NO! The base rate always remains from the date booked. However should you make changes to the booking, this can alter the quoted prices, but that would be fully explained when and if changes were made. When a booking is made and the deposit is paid the price is set.
